Serving the citizens of Bluffton, Indiana and Wells County since
1880, the Bluffton Fire Department stands ready to answer the call. Serving on the department are:
- 1 Fire Chief
- 5 Captains
- 2 Lieutenants (Training & Safety)
- 5 Full-time Engineers
- 27 Paid On Call Firefighters

Goals: The Bluffton Fire Department shall maintain the highest standard
of professional excellence. It shall promote fire safety education, and seek to mitigate
fire and safety hazards within the community. It shall provide 24 hour services to the citizens of Bluffton
and Wells County and provide the expertise and resources to educate the public in life safety and fire prevention
