BFD Awards Pumper Contract to Pierce
The new Pierce Pumper will be similar to the one pictured above. Delivery is planned for mid to late 2004. The new apparatus will replace an aging 1960's era Dodge Pumper. The current frontline pump will be rotated to backup pump, water relay, and dry hydrant operations. The new Pump will become 101 and will serve as the primary Engine for all city runs. A hydraulic ladder lift, roll-up doors, raised crew cab, and hydrant connections on all four sides are just a few of the features of the new pump.
