More Than Statistics

With all due respect to his title and writing ability, I wish to inform Dr. Steele that a very important death statistic was left out of his
Tuesday column.
He stated that 20,000 Americans a year die because of not using seatbelts; tobacco kills 500,000 plus Americans each and every year;
and that 2700 Americans will die from a preventable injury or illness by tomorrow(which means that in 365 days the total would be 985,500). But, he failed to report that over 1,500,000 unborn babies are killed each year in America, making the total in the last 28 years since Roe v. Wade to be more deaths than in all wars combined, the Holocaust, and the above statistics that he quoted.

But, then, from other articles he has had in the B(angor) D(aily) N(ews), I realize that his sympathy is not with the unborn babies.
